Welcome to the enrollment page for the 2009 National Bible Bee Competition!
Important Note to Parents / Guardians: Due to the overwhelming nationwide response to the 2009 National Bible Bee, the deadline for enrolling in this year’s inaugural competition was extended from April 30, 2009 to May 15, 2009.
While we recognize that those who sign up and download their contestant study materials after April 30th will have slightly less study time than those who signed up before the extension, we also recognize that this one-to two-week difference is very minimal in comparison to the nineteen weeks between the accessibility of the contestant study materials on May 1 and the Local Contests on September 12.
Please understand that by enrolling your contestant(s) during this extension period, that you recognize and accept that your contestant(s) will have up to 15 days less study time.
Enrollment for one contestant will take approximately 20 minutes; please add an extra five minutes for each extra contestant you wish to enroll. We’ve tried to streamline the process as much as possible, but it is important that you allow adequate time to finish registration in one sitting, as none of the information you provide will be saved until the end of the process. If you are unable to complete enrollment in one sitting, we have provided means for you to leave your computer idle for up to 15 minutes before you are closed out of the process and must begin again. If you need to leave briefly, we'll still be here!
Enrollment in the Bible Bee is handled solely through this online application process. Your electronic agreement to this enrollment carries the same force and effect as a handwritten signature and you will be able to print your entire enrollment form for review prior to final confirmation.
There are four essential steps in the process of enrolling a contestant in the Bible Bee Competition:
Step One: Provide Local Contest Host Information
Step Two: Provide Personal Information
Step Three: Provide Proofs of Consent
Step Four: Pay Enrollment Fee

You might have heard the expression, “Success is in the details.” This applies to many areas in life, and it couldn’t be more appropriate for online contestant enrollment.
When you have an opportunity, please pass the following tips on to your contestant families:
1. Browser (the application that allows you to open up and surf the Internet)
In general, the older a browser is, the more likely it is that your contestant families will encounter challenges when they attempt to enroll online. Upgrades are free, quick, and easy, and should be downloaded before contestants are enrolled. (Incidentally, one of the most popular and reliable browsers is Internet Explorer 7.0 (sometimes referred to as I.E. 7.0). Firefox also tends to work well, but again, make sure to remind contestant families to confirm that they have the latest version of Firefox, which is 3.0.
2. Operating System (the backbone of your computer - essentially the program that runs all other programs on your computer.) Another important factor when enrolling is the computer’s operating system. Some of the older operating systems tend to present problems.
3. High-speed (Broadband) Internet Connections (bandwidth; think of this as the diameter of a pipe - just as water can flow faster through a fat pipe than a narrow pipe, more data is quickly processed through a broadband connection than a dial-up connection.) We realize that dial-up may be the only choice available for homes in rural or remote areas. For those contestants facing this dilemma, we highly recommend a trip to a location where a broadband connection is available (e.g. the home of a friend or family member, or to a local library or internet cafe).
