I am a Dad. My son Adam competed in the primary group. It was an incredible blessing to watch Adam compete with so many that were like-minded in their devotion to God's Word! I didn't want the Finals on Friday afternoon to end! One passage after another of God's Word being proclaimed reminded me of the book of Nehemiah where Ezra the priest read the Book of the Law to all the returned exiles. I could understand why the exiles wept and repented at hearing God's Word hour after hour - now it was our children proclaiming God's Word to us!"

"I can see how this generation of Bible Bee competitors could be used by the Lord to "rebuild the walls" of our culture and our nation as in the days of Nehemiah. Adam and I are already eagerly awaiting the 2010 Bible Bee and hope to have his sister compete again and his younger brother compete for the first time. Soli Deo Gloria!"

The Bible Bee has been such an encouragement to our family to really buckle down and memorize passages of Scripture. It has helped so much to have a goal, and to know that others are working on the same materials, experiencing the same struggles and joys. We have grown so much this year, as a family unit, and in faith. And we have all truly learned that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

|
One day as we came to the dinner table, I was just too exhausted to lead in prayer, so I asked my 8 year old Bible Bee contestant to pray. She said something like this: "God, please help Mama. Somewhere there's a verse....no, there was a question that said that You promise to give "RENEWED STRENGTH". Please give Mama renewed strength, Lord."

"Wow! What a great summer this was for our family. It was such a rich experience studying the Scriptures. We had many precious discussions about faith in God and what it means to be a faithful, trusting, serving, loving follower of Christ. We had such a great leadership team for our Local Bee. Our local Host was so incredibly gifted and organized! She helped make this such a wonderful experience and in many ways, we feel like we have gained more family through this experience. We will miss everyone until next year!"

"Thank the Lord for Shelby Kennedy's vision for children to hide the Word of God in their hearts! I'm sure ALL of Heaven was rejoicing on Saturday to hear the Word spoken through so many in this country."

WOW ! What a blessing it is to BEE involved with the Bible Bee ! Spending several hours each day reading, studying or listening to some fantastic verses set to music has transformed our family life into MORE of living in HIS Word ! Of course, we shouldn't be surprised as we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds in Christ Jesus and the WORD is CHRIST !
|
|
Also, we cannot thank God enough for the excellent comrades HE has given us through this Bible Bee. Our Host was phenomenal in spirit and organization, fun and discipline. Other moms have done so much to support and encourage our students to continue to study and learn, such as one mom, who has set many, many songs to music! The Precept Ministry leaders, and our pastor have been awesome to help our kids study the Word of God ! It has truly been a beautiful example of the gifts in the Body of Christ encouraging one another on to love and good deeds !

We are SOOOOO thankful for this opportunity to press into God's love letter to us, to see HIM more clearly and to know HIM more fully. What riches we have in CHRIST just waiting for us to discover ! We know that the Lord Himself will richly bless all of those who have from a pure heart desired to encourage all of us in knowing and loving the WORD of GOD ! Praise the Lord for all of these things !!!

Participating in the Bible Bee was such a fun and awesome experience! I can't wait to do it again. I made a bunch of new friends, too, which was also very cool. Though I didn't make it to the Nationals, I am still rich in the new knowledge I received. Congrats to all the contestants; everyone did a great job!
|
|
It was incredibly exciting to meet many of the other National contestants and to get to know them and share our lives with each other--it was so much fun to see how they were all so easy to talk to and befriend since we all have so much in common!!!

This summer I worked really hard on the Bible Bee. Sometimes I felt like dropping out but Mom encouraged me and said I was doing great. The day of the Bible Bee I was a little bit worried but it turned out to be easy and fun.

I am excited about tomorrow! My friend and I are both participating. She moved to Florida about a year ago and I havn't seen her since. If we both make nationals than We will meet again in DC! Good luck, Avery!!!!!!!!!! you're #1!

HI! I am a 12 year old girl that lives in Kansas ,and I wanted to say that the Bible Bee has really been a blessing to me and my two sisters! This spring I was thinking,"I need to start memorizing the Bible more and meditating on it!" and then my mom told us about it and I was so happy! Thanks to everyone out there! I I have to say it has been a challenging thing to do, but is anything too hard for the Lord?

I manage to listen to my daughter quote her verses about every 2-3 days. One day last week, I was lying on my bed listening to her quote, for about an hour, and it was such a soothing balm to my spirit, to listen to and think about some of the different phrases that were being repeated. It was certainly a blessing to me.
|
|
The Lord has already been teaching me through the studies! One day it was getting hard to forgive and almost all of the cards we looked at that day had to do with forgiveness! I will never forget that!

We had 5 of our 8 precious children (3 were too little:)) participate in last year's Bible Bee. Our
whole family was on board! It was a precious memory - one of the best things we ever did with our kids! Three of our kids made it to Nationals – and that is an awesome memory! We were so proud of
them and all of their hard work! They literally hid over 1300 verses in their hearts last summer (the littler ones hid between 400-500 verses in their hearts!
|
Our whole family won in every way! We are using Bible Bee as an awesome tool to equip our kids. They spent a lot of their summer preparing, but it was well worth the cost! "Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding." Proverbs 4:7 NIV

Our kids were out sharing the gospel in the local park with other teens last summer and saw many teens put their trust in Christ. Every time they went out, the Lord would bless - and a handful of teens would receive Christ. And over the summer, that added up, seeming like "many" to us. It was incredible - memorizing scripture during the day and sharing it in the evenings! ! Unforgettable for all of us!

|
Our son says, "Rock the world for Christ!" We want Him to use our family to further His Kingdom and bring HIS NAME glory in this world where so many people desperately need HIM!
