As we have heard from you and contestant families about the challenge of memorizing the large amount of information included in the National Bible Bee Competition, we decided to create a table that would clearly explain the content that will be used by different age groups as part of the Local and National Contests. Contestants who are not attempting to qualify for the National Contest may choose to focus solely on the categories listed under Local Contest; those who are hoping to be part of the National Contest are encouraged to first master the content required for the Local Contest and with the time left over to continue on to work on the content they can expect to see at the National Contest.
*Bible Knowledge Questions in Categories Three and Four are both derived from the six books of the Bible and their associated introductions (found in the Bee-liever’s Handbook) that contestants and their families are studying: Genesis, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, Matthew, Acts, and Romans. They may also be drawn from “How to Study the Bible for Yourself,” (also located in the Bee-liever’s Handbook). Bible questions that are identified as being developmentally appropriate for younger contestants will be labeled Category Three and will be included on Primary Age tests (as well as appearing on the Junior and Senior level tests). |
