Welcome to the National Bible Bee Competition
Over 17,000 contestants enrolled earlier this year to participate in the first annual National Bible Bee, a motivating Bible memory competition for children and youth from 7 to 18 years of age. On Saturday, September 12, 2009, these contestants competed in approximately 340 Local Bible Bee contests conducted throughout the United States. From these local events, only one hundred top scorers from each of three age brackets have received invitations to advance to the National Bible Bee for a three-day, world-class competition held in Washington, D.C., on November 4–6, 2009.
Sponsored by the Shelby Kennedy Foundation, the National Bible Bee will distribute more than $260,000 in prize money to the top finalists, with $100,000 being awarded to the first-place winner in the top age bracket.
